Vale Park protest

Hove and Portslade MP Celia Barlow joined local Councillor Les Hamilton and residents in Vale Park, Portslade, to highlight the slow rate of progress in improvement works.

“A constituent first contacted me regarding this issue several weeks ago and I contacted Brighton and Hove Council to enquire about scheduled improvements. I was assured that progress was being made and supplied with a list of things which had been completed, or were due for installation in April.

However, in early May, I was contacted again by residents to inform me that many of the listed improvements had not taken place.  We have contacted the Council again but as yet have not received a satisfactory response.  After the protest by residents in the Park, I hope that the promised improvements will be carried out for the benefit of the local community. “
