Nancy says:

"I am supporting the postal workers because I believe it's essential to protect our universal postal service and post office network.

"These are public services form part of the fabric of local communities. Taking them away or reducing services is ripping the heart out of town centres and villages.

"I urge the Royal Mail to engage in meaningful talks with the Communications Workers Union and to ensure they take staff with them during this time of change. I also call on the Government to re-think the impact of competition on the Royal Mail and ensure this vital service has the investment and support needed to allow it to modernise and compete on a level playing field."
