MP welcomes Hove's new skate park

Celia Barlow praises fresh idea in combatting anti-social behaviour

Celia Barlow MP attended the opening of SkateExpectation's Hove Lagoon Skate Park recently. The event included live music, with Skateboarding and BMX displays.

The Skate Park is a community initiative which has resulted from a number of years of hard work most notably by Graham Deane and Victoria Minos of Skate Expectations, as well as valuable support from Brighton and Hove City Council in providing funding and granting planning permission, as well as Sussex Police for providing CCTV cameras for the site.

Celia Barlow MP said, "Young people have been looking forward to this skate park for a long time. I’m delighted that their dreams have become a reality."
