Success in 'Free Cashpoint' Campaign

Relief is on its way to the "cashpoint desert" in Whitehawk and Manor Farm.

Until now anyone unable to get to Kemp Town or the Marina has had to pay a fee to use one of the cash machines in shops on the estate. Following a campaign by Councillor Warren Morgan, the ATM in the Co-op on the Broadway is now free to use, and the Royal Bank of Scotland have chosen the estate as the location for one of their free ATMs. Warren said "many older people or those with disabilities have been forced to pay to get their money. The new free cash machines will save them hundreds of pounds a year."
