Your right to vote

To check you are registered to vote, City residents can contact Brighton & Hove City Council.
If you live in Lewes district, including Peacehaven and Telscombe, contact Lewes District Council.

The register of electors is drawn up by your local council. Every household receives a form in August or September: to be sure of your vote, be certain to return it promptly. The new register is used for any election from December onwards each year.
If you move house during the year, contact the council to transfer your registration to the new address: don't wait for an election to be called!
