Labour councillors clear up Brighton's Wild Park

Wild Park in Moulsecoomb got a Spring Clean recently when Labour's councillors for the neighbourhood got together to tidy up the area around the Wild Park monument.

For months, Brighton's Conservative-run council ignored complaints from local people about the state of the monument.

So Labour's active councillors for the two wards bordering the park decided to do the job instead.

Coldean's councillors Jeane Lepper, Christine Simpson and Pat Hawkes (Hollingdean and Stanmer ward) joined forces with Moulsecoomb and Bevendean's Anne Meadows and Mo Marsh. They soon got the area looking cleaner and more approachable.
