Target Tuberculosis and TB Alert

In the House of Commons on Monday 12 May Labour's David Lepper MP launched an exhibition of the work of two Brighton-based organisations which work in Asia and Africa to help tackle tuberculosis.

David says:

"I am pleased to have gained a much-sought-after slot for an exhibition in Parliament which will be seen by parliamentarians and visitors to Westminster.

“TB remains one of the world's top killer diseases with almost nine million new cases each year and almost two million deaths. Since 1987 case numbers have been on the increase.

"Target Tuberculosis and TB Alert work in Asia and Africa to help raise awareness of TB, increase access to treatment and support patients through their treatment."

"Both these excellent organisations have their headquarters in Brighton and are doing essential work internationally which has been recognised by funding from the Department for International Development and the National Lottery. I welcome the chance to make their work better known."
